How many NROTC Scholarships are awarded per year?

I've searched thru the forum site and the internet, but can't seem to come up with an answer. Does anyone know the answer as to how many NRPTC scholarships are awarded per year? Additionally, anyone know how many applicants NROTC gets per year?
 
When my DS applied for NROTC last year, I seem to remember that his recruiter said something like 20,000-22,000 people start the application process, about 2,300 scholarships are offered, and less than 1,500 end up accepting of which about 250-300 are Marine option. Can somebody please confirm this?

Your numbers look high. Take a look at navypmw post above. The link gives the target numbers. To summarize for this upcoming academic year they targeted about 1300 offers with about 700 acceptances. Of course those are Navy only numbers and do not include Marines. Nevertheless 250-300 Marines sounds a little high to me given 700 acceptances for Navy option.
