Selection Board Dates

Most ROTC First boards are in late Sep. Notification on Oct-early Dec for first board. Second board in Nov.
 
First AFROTC board is this week. The second is the first week of December. I saw the list of somewhere on another thread but can't find it now. Not sure about AROTC or NROTC. My understanding is NROTC meets more frequently.
 
Does anyone know - is it necessary to be already "Cleared" by DODMERB in order to be selected in the first board?
 
DA just got an email that deadline for first NROTC Board was extended until end of this week.

Pretty sure ROTC scholarship receipients don’t go thru DODMERB until summer before freshmen year
 
@rholt +1 to ders_dad. Any applicants to the various ROTC programs almost always do not do their DoDMERB physical until AFTER they have been awarded a scholarship. There are extremely rare exceptions, which seem to happen randomly, that you can ignore.

Document Submission Deadlines

1st High School Board:
29 September 2018

2nd High School Board:
28 December 2018

3rd High School Board:
04 March 2019

Selection Board Convene Dates

1st High School Board:
15-19 October 2018

2nd High School Board:
7-11 January 2019

3rd High School Board:
18-22 March 2019
 
You do not need to be cleared by DoDMERB to be offered or accept the scholarship. BUT, you must be cleared by DoDMERB or you can not receive the funding or stipend. If you are awarded a scholarship you will see on the acceptance form they send you the stipulations...cleared by DoDMERB, pass APFT, keep certain GPA, etc
