That’s a lifetime skill right there.
Wearing winter uniforms and sweating during the last days of the winter uniform period, reverse for summer, running the PRT in all kinds of nasty weather, long hours in hot boots on steel decks, sleeping cold/hot/upright/kinked, being sweaty and non-stop vibrating in a loud helo, always getting the middle coach seat on long-haul flights with multiple stops not the non-stop on military fares, sleeping in a BOQ transient room with sheets so threadbare your big toe snags a hole in it (does not happen in Air Force transient lodging).
There are some things I miss. Some I don’t, but DH and I can handle “uncomfortable” anytime, though we still grumble.
