Hi All: Does anyone know when this status will change? She is boarded but the academic tab is still yellow? Does that change after the board?
Thank You

Does she happen to be homeschooled? My DS is homeschooled and they explained that his academic section would remain yellow. This is the reason they gave him.
"Being that you are homeschooled the Guidance Counselor feedback (GC) is not a concern and it is not mandatory for any application.

My DS says Board Ready in Yellow not Boarded. I thought this board didn't start until 1/22?

My DS had his turned in for the first board and didn't receive one yet, so his status is yellow and says boarded/under consideration. The deadline to finish the app for the second board was last night. They don't meet until next week.

Hmmm...my ds's Academic section was green with a checkmark before he was boarded and he is homeschooled. I wonder what the difference is.

Ugh, that worries me. I think I will send an email to ask more questions.
Back in September I emailed them and said that I had never received an email to send in the counselor info. A man replied back and asked me about 5 questions and he said that's all they would need. We noticed the counselor section was still yellow and my DS emailed before the first board questioning why. They sent the reply "Being that you are homeschooled the Guidance Counselor feedback (GC) is not a concern and it is not mandatory for any application".
He went from board ready to boarded/under consideration on the first board, did not receive a scholarship, and remains boarded /under consideration for the second board.

If he was boarded, he was boarded and won't be again. At this point, my understanding is his score is locked in so what you see in the portal probably doesn't have any bearing on where he is on the master ranking list for scholarship awards.

That said, if I were his parent, I'd do the same thing you are doing and check in again with Cadet Command. It can't hurt, and probably worth it for peace of mind. Good luck!

Right, I don't want to change anything points wise. He asked me these questions and assured me that's all they needed....

If you would answer the questions below it fulfill your part in the scholarship application process for ***** ****.

1) UNWEIGHTED GPA on a 4.0 Scale:

2) Class Rank: indicate “No ranking” if school does not rank

3) Honors Classes Y/N:

4) Accelerated Classes Y/N:

5) AP Classes Y/N:

His transcripts were also verified, so I think they had all the info they needed and I doubt they would have boarded him if something was missing. I am still going to check and make sure.

My sons was yellow until recently I got the following response. I answered the questions. Similar to what you had above and it turned green next day. I also copied school counselor on email. She is old and has messed up a few times on this stuff.

Good morning,

The guidance counselor feedback is not required to complete the application process. If you want

I have attached a screenshot of the information need. If you return this to me, I can input the response

and that will show complete.

Respectfully,

Thank you. I am going to contact them again. This is frustrating.

Have you tried contacting a ROO? You might want to engage the ROO at one of your top schools and see what he or she can tell you. If you were one of my applicants (or even if you aren't) I would be able to pull up your application and see if everything looks to be in order. Working with the ROO also shows him or her that you are truly interested in their program. The folks at Cadet Command are working with about 8-10K applicants. The list of applicants that listed one of my schools is about 50.
