A friend of mine (also an appointee) expressed concerns about getting the boot from the academy during I Day? She said she heard some rumors about how that could happen. I haven't ever heard of that. Anyone that can deny or confirm this? Why would you get kicked out during I Day?

I actually found out on a Saturday and got a call the following Monday. My portal updated first. So I imagine it would be updated tomorrow sometime

If it's any help, last year I did not get into the summer seminar. I am now a 2020 Appointee!! There is always hope :) Runner32: my vision is worse than that and I got accepted to USAFA but I dont know if thats a factor for SS. Hope this helps ease some minds

June 30th is I-Day

You'll get an email decision and last year the decision came out around March 1st. (1st week of march)

Afmom2020, will all of that information be in the appointee kit? And when is this information typically given out? Sorry for so many questions. No one ever tells you what to do AFTER you get in, it's always just pre information

So should I bother with a pair a boots? Maybe to even just get used to them rucking and such? Or should I not and just practice ruck with my running shoes?

So if I can find what they issue at basic, I can get those and break them in? I'll look at some different threads. I am just trying not to get blisters... tooo badly :)
