I received a 13/24 on my SAT essay which resulted in an email saying I will undergo a risk review (what jebdad mentioned above) if I don't improve my score.

I did much better on my SAT composite than my ACT composite but struggled on the SAT essay. I was wondering if the academy would look at my SAT composite score but my ACT essay instead of the SAT essay?

A 1550 will significantly improve your chances. To give you an idea your candidate score is 60% academic, 30% leadership and 10% physical. Best of luck.

I was wondering how important your SAT essay score is and what a "good" score is. On the new SAT score report they don't give your percentiles for the essay score. Please don't say "you should shoot for a perfect score." I understand that, but I also want to know if I'm deemed qualified. Thanks

I did. I got an email on monday saying I was accepted.

Thank you Capt MJ. I have already done some research and can only find information on space careers for the Air Force. Just wanted to know if the other branches also offered careers within space. I'll continue researching and make sure I'm not missing something.
