    All Hands Call

So there is an "All Hands Call" on Wednesday at USNA, can anyone shed some light on what that entails? I'm guessing its about Spring Break and Coronavirus, possibly restricting travel.

    Loss of a Brigade mate

You are right "justdoit19" freaking out was not the correct response! Just hearing this news this morning is so upsetting. We have developed so many relationships with my sons fellow classmates and parents over the years you feel like they are all family and one of your own. Every midshipmen is...

Ireland - Navy Football Aug 2020

So I just read that if you don't buy a package trip to the Ireland- Navy vs ND game, tickets are very hard to get. They said last time they sold out in 1 hour?? Anyone know about this?

Ireland - Navy Football Aug 2020

Thank you for your time and great advise! Since it is our first trip we are thinking of staying at an airbnb in center city Dublin and walking/busing around. Also taking some day trips to the countryside and of course attending the game and pep rally. When do the Mids usually get there? Are...

Yes we are a little reluctant to rent a car for that reason, neither my husband or I have ever driven on the opposite side of the road.

Ireland - Navy Football Aug 2020

Would love any advise from parents who have traveled to Ireland to attend Navy Football games in the past. Would like to book our own travel plans, rather than go with the travel agent package. Things like where to fly in, must see things, where to stay, restaurant recommendations etc.

USNA Class of 2023 Do-It-Yourself Appointment Thread

My DS, class of 2021 received a letter from our MOC in the mail first, then the portal notification a few days later and finally the BFE with the appointment letter. The BFE seems like it took forever, probably about a week to 10 days. Good Luck, its a long wait!

What's your take on this article and the premise that midshipmen aren't the Best and Brightest

He is currently under review for inappropriate behavior and not teaching this spring. My Mid had him for a few weeks before he was removed from the classroom. Fleming's reading material/choice of texts being studied are being used and are very much in keeping with Fleming's beliefs. Hope he's...

Is a laid-back/carefree personality not a good fit for USNA?

Reading your post it sounded like you were describing my son! He is now a Plebe at USNA soon to be a 3/C! I had the same thoughts before I-day as you do. I don't think you will have to worry about your son he will figure out what he needs to do when he gets there, there are all types of kids and...
