I don't think you are locked into a mechanical engineering major, but I do think you are locked into an Engineering major

you would have to drive from tricounty to clemson for pt and all the arotc activities right? Also something to keep in mind is USC's AROTC program has direct access to Fort Jackson in Columbia, this could be a good advantage over Clemson

what i have asked rotc programs i was accepted to is how they treat their non-scholarship cadets vs scholarship cadets, how many times they pt per week and ftx per semester, what additional rotc programs they have (things like ranger challenge and color guard) and how big their rotc program is
