Does anyone here know anything about the AFROTC/AFJROTC nominations to USAFA? By that I mean, on average, how competitive is it to get one of the 20 apppointment slots, and do notifications for them come out later than they do for those with MOC noms?

You'll get a e-letter on the portal saying 'We regret to inform you you have not been selected, try again next year' etc. It's one of the worst feelings in the world, been through it twice now. A 404 is not a rejection, just means the servers are down.

I doubt there's anything to it. This happens every once in a while.

Why do they generally not fill all 20? Is it due to the class being too full to take in the full 20, or is it due to many of the nominees being deemed unqualified initially by USAFA?
