I don’t know the answer to this. I knew the waiver process was different but didn’t know the exam was valid for 2 years. His medical disqualification was due to past shoulder surgery in 10th grade so it will show up again.

My son has been waiting since dec 2 to see if they will request a waiver. It is our understanding they will request a waiver only if they determine the candidate is competitive enough. Assuming that will all shuffle out soon since the nominations were just due January 31. Good luck!

Thank you for the info. That’s what we had assumed. We don’t know where he is on the slate but we do know that 16 nominations were submitted for 2 open spots for USAFA and 11 nominations for 2 spots for USMA.

Since everyone is asking... how about PA-12? I would guess it's more competitive for USNA and USMA more so than USAFA just due to the proximity but I could be wrong.
