In case anyone is following this, my DD checked her status today and it now says "Pending Waiver Submission/Review." Her DQ letter was uploaded and basically stated there is a chance she could get a waiver but the request would need to be made first. So I guess that means we have to wait to see...

My DD contacted the ROO who conducted her application interview and he said the exact same thing. You couldn't of said it better. Everyone keep up the hard work and show what you can do in person!
