Prep School still hasn't found out. Finals are in a couple weeks and rumor has it that we may not find out until close to graduation. Fingers crossed!

Glad I found this thread! Prep School isn't supposed to find out for probably another month or so on nominations.

Mine took a while. I'm at the Prep School right now, so I was also trying to complete it in the middle of the government shutdown. Give it another week, hopefully it'll pop up.

I had pretty similar test scores as you, and I also come from the enlisted side. Trust me, just be in good standing at your squadron and you'll make it. I was also BTZ and had an Associates before joining.

What is a Bound Appointment?

It's called USAFAPS '19, make sure you include the mark before the 19 haha

The group works, make sure you click on the 'group' tab when looking for it. It has a picture of the chapel as the coverpage.

I'd give them a call then. If you are denied, at least that way you can possibly find out what to do better next time you apply. Make sure you do the letters of recommendation and everything else that is 'optional' as well.

The concussion test is the most annoying part of the second checklist. Aside from that, everything else is pretty straight-forward. Looking forward to attending the PS this July!

Did you apply for Prep School directly on the 1786, or for the Academy? If the Academy, then they will automatically consider you for Prep School if not chosen for a direct appointment. The Prep School box, on the other hand, will not automatically consider you for the Academy. They also go off...

Is it a packet? I only have the 'Instructions to Appointees' packet. The portal lists a due date for the list of forms under that section but no links.

USAFAPS is 18 July for Civilians, 15 July for Prior Enlisted

Makes sense, your BCT might either be longer or classes start sooner. I'm going to the prep school first so I'll be down the hill from you guys.

There's a packet you need to print out after accepting. It says priors arrive 15 July, everyone else arrives 18 July. This is USAFAPS-specific, I'm not sure about the USAFA requirements.
