My son is an incoming freshman to the VMI NROTC Unit. We've heard nothing from the unit in regards to NSI being canceled. I've also been in contact with other incoming freshman parents who have yet to hear from the unit.

VMI is slated to attend NSI Cycle 2. July 1-21. The unit has already begun collecting required forms to make travel arrangements. I'm sure they'll provide them to you in the very near future. Congrats to your son! My son will also be attending VMI with NROTC scholarship.

Great Info! I'm still a bit puzzled though as my DS's GPA, test scores etc., all fall above the minimum requirements to compete for a scholarship, but was eliminated in December from future boards.

Submitting the application over the summer would mean you should send the 7th semester grades in. I recommend sending an email to your USAFA counselor and asking if they need them. The counselor's are very responsive and usually reply the same day.

Yes, by the date change and by additional items in the document section. When he initially submitted his application, the school profile was for the 2018 school year, as 2019 wasn't available yet. The 2019 profile has now been recently added, as well as what appears to be another recommendation...

They requested a new school profile and another copy of his senior schedule. Not positive but, looks like they also requested an updated Letter of Rec. from one of his teachers, possibly math.

You can update personal information and supply your 7th semester grades, not sure about test scores and such.
