My daughter has received notice from 2 NROTC programs that NSI is cancelled and they will go next summer.

Scholarship letter states deadline is April 15 and then it reopens after NSI programs are over.

Received an email and a phone call from the ROO of the college that accepted the transfer.

My daughter’s transfer took 5 business days. Sent last Friday, appeared as received on Monday and was notified that the scholarship was transferred today.

Transferring does not make the scholarship binding.

I think people apply to several branches because they want to serve their their country. There is also similarities between branches: aviation, medical, intelligence etc.

If the house is in town, they don’t need the money. They are doing just fine! Typically they rent just to get out of dodge. Good luck!

Just checked: Reread the scholarship letter. Paragraph under April 15 deadline: “**WE WILL REOPEN PLACEMENT CHANGE REQUESTS AFTER** canidate midshipmen complete NSI and NSTC Placement Office will notify all graduates via email 1-2 days after NSI graduation!!!!”

Yes, Initial deadline is April 15. Then you can apply after all NSI classes are completed. Not sure what the plans are this year with virus and if the moving summer training around.

Not sure but transfer process reopens after NSI finishes. Not sure of the status of NSI dates.
