So I am working on filling out these clearance forms so I can have network access once the academic year starts, but ran into a problem. The form asks for my selective service number. I am still 17 (and will be until into the academic year) and have not registered with the SSS yet...

Is it common for people to hold a spot (via a nonrefundable deposit or other means) at a separate institution until the completion of beast, just to guard against the repercussion(dismissal??) of a broken leg or other training related injury during Beast?

I received one of these pens for Christmas this year. Apparently it allows a student to record the teacher's lectures while simultaneously taking notes. Then, later, you can use the pen to tap on your notes and it brings back that point in the lecture. Sounds like this is a pretty legit...

I have looked everywhere for it and can't seem to find it. Is there a list or a brief synopsis of 'allowed' items new cadets can receive during beast? I've heard the 'no food' but is there any other no's that family might want to send?

Got my confirmation/official letter today from CC. No paperwork foulups or anything, everything is the same as on the status website. My letter says I have to make a decision by 19 Dec. :thumb: Guess everyone else's will be out soon!
