    Pass For Wedding

Here is the source document you will need to reference:https://static.e-publishing.af.mil/production/1/usafa/publication/usafai36-3536/usafai36-3536.pdf. I am a strong proponent of advocating for yourself. This is something that can be requested, but as you can see many would recommend against...

    PFT Testing during BMT/BCT (Question)

Your PFT during BCT is used to establish whether or not you will be put on PEP (Physical Enhancement Program, sort of like reconditioning), during the academic year. It also is used to create a baseline, but it does not count toward your PEA. There are typically several more days of PT after...

    Waiver for Diabetes

This is the only success story I've heard of, and from my understanding was diagnosed at the academy and included action from the Chief of Space Operations: https://www.stripes.com/branches/air_force/2021-08-03/usafa-cadet-diabetes-first-commission-military-space-force-2417712.html

    Death of a Grandparent

If you look at the link I posted and control f “wedding”, you will find what the normal procedure is for those. I went to a wedding recently so it is possible.

    Death of a Grandparent

Per USAFAI 36-3536, Allocation of Cadet Time: 1.5.8. INDIVIDUAL REQUEST: DEATH OF NON-IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER(GRANDPARENTS, AUNTS, UNCLES, COUSINS AND CLOSE FRIENDS) with the following conditions: 1.5.8.1. Emergency excused absences for death or serious illness of immediate family members can be...

    Question for current USAFA cadets

While I can't say this for sure, the survey surrounding computers is likely a data point. To my knowledge, the computer for the class of 2028 has already been selected and all cadet's will be issued that one. I don't know the exact model off the top of my head, but I know currently, all cadets...

Questions about BCT Dates and when parents can visit the cadets after BCT

Only other thing to add- onboarding is a busy week for the 4-degrees, and historically there has been some mild homework. Further, this week is a chance for them to get introduced to their new squad, the upper classes, and to be able to spend time with their flight. Over the last two years, I've...

    International travel before I day

Concur with @flieger83, only thing I would add is to make sure to have the exact dates of travel written into the SF86 for I-Day.

Depends on your waiver... that's a hard one to answer with no further information.

    I-Day & BCT Questions Answered

It is more or less just for folks who are appointed with a stipulation of clearance on I-day and any injuries that would prevent you from doing BCT successfully. During BCT there will be a few exams(concussion, dental, etc.) as well.

    ETP timeline

Depends on your standing. Appointees have a limited route to ETPs through admissions and they control that process( Sorry I don't have more info, but for specifics may be able to get it). Once you are a basic/cadet you can route an ETP thru your Chain of Command.

    ETP timeline

ETPs do not have quotas as far as I am aware. There are many ETPs given for non-medical reasons, for example, religious exemptions, and those MFRs can be found in the appointee handbook. I can appreciate that this is a difficult thing to be working through, however, if this is with admissions...

    ETP timeline

There is a number of answers, for appointees, Gen Clark (The Supt) usually gets the final say, but depending on how it is routed a number of other people have the opportunity to review and recommend approval or deny the ETP. I've personally seen ETPs take 6+ months and I've heard of ETPs taking...

New to USAF- Got some questions

Conur with what @FlyFalcon said above. If you have questions about specifics, feel free to DM(once you've been here for a week and have 5+ posts). The only thing I will add is our showers have dividers, but not curtains, in Jack's Valley/Gym there will be neither.

    CBT Weightloss?

I think you've seen another case of it depends. Some people lose weight, some people gain weight. This specific concern is not one I would spend a ton of time worrying about. We(cadre) will make sure that you stay healthy during BCT, which may include a boost (i.e. protein shakes) or referrals...

    Absence Limit

I want to say I had something similar junior year, and no one has ever asked about it. My school counted every class missed as an absence and team sports/extra cirrculurs have a lot of abscences in one season.

    Checking my CFA scores (Male)

Assuming you are a male... you are pretty close to the average on all of these so I'd imagine you passed the CFA. I'd recommend continuing to work on pullups, pushups, and situps as well as your mile run. These will help with other things at USAFA as well.
