I would second this. My DD received her appointment EA in December. She is not a recruited athlete (hopes to play soccer though) and we have no relatives that have been part of the Coast Guard or any other military branch.

They actually did say that they would continue to compete during their presentation, but whether that's the ultimate reason why is unknown.

My DD had a complete reconstruction of her knee freshman year of high school. She took, and passed, the CFA and applied for Early Action. She passed her DODMERB examine easily and received an appointment to USCGA on December. Good luck!

Yes, she got the call on December 21st and only recently received the BFE.

I don't remember the exact date, but she did Early Action and she received the call telling her she had received an appointment on December 21st.
