My bad. It seems like 'direct' has been used ambiguously.

I’m currently at Shaw.

Direct meaning having received an appointment to the academy/class of 2028 rather than going to prep school first or receiving Falcon Foundation scholarship. It does not mean directly from HS.

Commander just came by and notified me that I got a direct appointment! I am currently enlisted.

Any idea as to when current enlisted airmen might hear back? Not sure if that was addressed in the timeline process.

I was unfortunately not offered an appointment (heard back yesterday via email) but I did receive an appointment to USMMA which I am perfectly happy with! Moved from Long Island 6 years ago and now I’m headed back!

Well it’s likely that a lot of people are asking the same questions at this time so an answer must be given, i. e. the 15th. There are still two more days until that time so there is a possibility there. Just know that there is a chance that it could be beyond that date that you hear back.

I was told the 15th is when they would like to get all decisions out, but given the difficult environment this year, expect delays. As of March 31st, the Admissions Board was still actively meeting.

I did speak to my admissions officer regarding the wait and was told to expect a couple of weeks wait following the 15th of this month regarding status. I did get accepted to USMMA though so that’s good.
