Yes, good point. I do believe he is academically strong enough to be honest. It's just that Writing score that is pretty much our only concern. I've read that the USNA puts more emphasis on the STEM score, which his is a 33, so hoping that's enough. Everything else is solid, leadership...

Good info. Yes, he has a BGO to ask and will. We were under the impression that the Writing portion actually was required, as we were told such by a BGO (not his current BGO, a BGO at an Academy presentation). Had we been told the Writing portion was not required, probably wouldn't have done it...
