No news is still good news...but just got the TWE from USNA...so I have a sneaking suspicion that we will be seeing a wave of TWEs over the next several days. Still holding onto hope after AFROTC rejection...but it is getting thinner each day...

Same...Not Selected. Not surprising...spoke to a few recruitment officers from detachment and a couple years ago they cut 75% of HS scholarship funding in favor of giving 2 year in school scholarships when established cadets pass summer training... Disappointing, but not overly shocked...

This decision is literally the tipping point between 2 schools...and I agree about the financial aid packages. I know what the offers will likely be, but how do you make a firm commitment without an offer in black and white?!?

What does LOI and LOA stand for? I see it a lot in this forum. My son's portal has not changed in months...lots of green check marks and 100% complete...2 nominations, but no phone calls. Very frustrating to say the least...

Right there with ya! DODMERB has said "Under Waiver Review" for 3 months...and portal just says "100% Candidate Kit Submitted" for 2 months! Double nomination received and still nada!

How does it work with AFROTC boards? Does anyone know when they are or were? Application has said "Eligible" for 2 months now. Had interview Jan 12th which was last piece... Will the status change at some point? Portal is not nearly as informative as Army ROTC portal...
