I'm getting a little confused on what happens when you come out that weekend before Mon. 7/1? Looks like on Sunday there is fellowship for the religious groups. Is there anything else being offered either Sat, Sun or Monday for families to be able to tour the campus or any sort of orientation...

Probably not irrelevant depending on the person but for my son, it was pretty disappointing not getting to go. We don't live near the academy and don't have the means to hop on a plane to go for a weekend to visit so his showing up 7/1 is going to be completely new in person AIM would have been...

My son was virtual as well and now received his appointment this spring! Just in case your son needs reassurance :-) The virtual program was much better than we had anticipated.

Ah, got it! Sorry, I'm really out of the loop on the acronyms. He was accepted to the Academy but got this email first and then the email was corrected later. I think it's so great that you all can connect beforehand on social media!! Good luck to you and thanks for the offer!

How did your son communicate to them that he played an instrument? Did he just bring it to swab summer and then there was a tryout? Trying to figure out how you actually get started in music. And yes, I've emailed and called but can't get thru to anyone :-)

Our school is asking what the presentation entails? The form says they usually do it at an awards ceremony at the school and the only thing we have is the Honors Convocation which is really for all the students. Did you child have this done and can you tell me how long it is or what they do...

I'm thinking, do they need a winter coat? Do they need sheets and a pillow? Do they need a laptop? What if they are playing a sport, do they bring stuff for that? Maybe I'm just unclear on what daily life there is really like. We've never been to see it and cannot go to any in person events...

So is the packet in addition to the items on the website? Or are they duplicates? Was wondering if they might have more instructions or who we might reach out to with questions if we can't get a response by email. Feeling kind of in the dark here and worried about making doctors appointments...

Isn't there something that is supposed to be coming to the home, as well? Are those additional forms to what is on the website?

What if they won't be 18 until later this summer? Will they get the shot at the academy?
