2 1/2 year job vs. Clubs

Well, my situation pretty much simple, but I have a few questions. I have had a great, steady job for 2 and a half years now, during school and during summer. I love my job and love working for my own money. But, this also inhibits my ability to take leadership positions in school clubs. Right now, I do hold the position of Treasurer in the Spanish Club, and I am members of many other clubs (Beta Club, Spanish National Honor Society, Class of 2011 Executive Board, and some others). I also hold a leadership position in Civil Air Patrol. So my questions are:

1) Does the Academy take into consideration that I do have a job and I work 3 out of the 5 school days during the week?

2)If I were to take another leadership position in another club, I believe that I would not be able to do my best because of my work schedule. So, should I still go out for one and try my best, or should I just keep my schedule and resume the way it is right now?

Thank you so much for any suggestions and comments!:thumb::smile:

I'm not sure how West Point looks at that but my oldest son goes to a top-notch state university and they LOVE applicants who work and go to school. It shows time management, dedication, and maturity.

There is a place on the Candidate Activities Record to record how many hours/week and weeks/year during the summer and school year you work. West Point definitely takes a job into account, but you'd have to ask a MALO to find out just how helpful a job might be to your application.:thumb:
