In addition to serving as cadre for swab summer, AIM, CGRIT, or Eagle, the 2/c's have an extensive summer training.
For one week they learn to be cadre from the "DI's" from Cape May.
They go down to Washington DC for small arms training for a week.
They get helicopter/fixed wing aircraft training in Alabama.
The sail on the 44-foot Luders boats in the New England area for a week and get training on the SCANTS(deck simulator).
At some point they do a three-week stint as cadre, depending on which option they choose.
In all a very busy summer ahead.
