2008 NROTC scholarships

Hi Everyone,
I'm wondering when notification will be made to applicants. My son has heard from the Army at his school of choice and is in the dark about the Marines. Many thanks for any info.
For Navy-option, the selection boards have until the end of April to make their decisions, according to the status on the website. I don't know if this applies to the Marines though.
Has he been checking his decision status online at https://www.nrotc.navy.mil/status_scholarship.cfm?

What a great suggestion -- thank you. Because of you, I checked and it states that the application is at the "MC District for Bd. Selection." Now if they'd only give some tentative date we could expect a letter or ??

If he hasn't talked to his recruiter, he can find him on this link:

I talk with my recruiter quite a bit by email and he is able to give me all sorts of information.
Not only should the recruiter be able to tell him what the latest he can expect a decision, but the recruiter can probably give an assessment on the strength of his application and what the selection board might decide. My recruiter definitely weighed with his view on my application based on past experience.
As I said, for Navy-option, I was told that the decisions are all supposed to be made before the end of April on all Navy-option application for Fall 2008.

Thats funny ^^^ because my recruiter came knocking on my door asking if I have recieved the scholarship yet
I haven't heard back either and my status hasn't changes on the scholarship tracker, but I'm in no hurry
I was just notified today! Yay!
