2012 USAFA Summer Seminar Students

Please post stats when you are accepted!
Thanks

I agree! I've noticed you've been hanging around this forum. Haha are you as anxious as I am? Did you finish your app yet? Could you post your stats as well? I'd appreciate it, and I sincerely wish you the best of luck!

My status is now applicant!

Applicant

Mine says its an applicant and is being processes... is this a good or bad thing? or still not a factor???

If it says that your application has not yet been processed, that means that it's still sitting in the stack and they haven't gone over it yet. In a few days to a week it should change to "Applicant (your application is under consideration)" and i don't know how long this phase lasts because mine has been this way for over a week (i applied december 15 and still haven't found out). The phase after this should be the acceptance/denial email from USAFA, hopefully acceptance- fingers crossed!

I've been hanging around this forum and finally decided to post! I am extremely anxious as I applied December 1st, and my application still has the Heading "Application Submitted (your application has not yet been processed by USAFA)." However my ALO called me to go over my application about two weeks ago, but I find it odd that I still haven't seen it change. Perhaps it could be because I live in Minnesota?

I am also anxious-so I wrote my alo. They responded with "Unfortunately, USAFA is gathering SSS applications over the next couple of months. The focus at the Academy at this point is specifically related to the selection board and processing for the class of 2016 which should wrap up late Feb. At that point, the SSS applications will be reviewed and selection process will begin. "

I just received acceptance and will attend Session C!

Congrats to all those accepted! Don't worry if your online status is slow to change. It tends to take a while for the overworked admissions office counselors to wade through all the applications and update the site (especially since they are currently focusing on 2016).

Accepted!

My daughter received an email this morning that she has been accepted for Summer Seminar. She has chosen Session C.

We are located in Louisiana, and her status never changed on the application to "applicant". I thought I would let others know that this can happen, as she was watching her application pretty closely.

Her ACT was 29, GPA 3.9 (unweighted). She is active in Venturing Crew, which is part of the boy scouts and co-ed, NHS, has one sport, ROTC, several clubs, and works summers as a lifeguard.

Good luck everyone!

Woo! I was checking my email 8th period in school today and I saw the email! I'm not sure which session I'll go to yet, as I have a crazy summer, but it's nice to know others here also got accepted!

(Is my acceptance oddly early - I applied on the 25th of December at like 10 o'clock, I thought I had low chances because of such a late application, but guess not!)

First of all, congratulations! Great work! I think its odd, though, how there is seemingly no correlation between the submit date and the acceptance date :D. I'm very curious to know why, I think I'll have to ask Admissions later in the year about the Summer Seminar deal :shake: But truly my friend, great work! I submitted on December 31st and am anxiously waiting! My computer is set up to alert me whenever I get a new email. I get all excited when I have [1 New Message], and then check to see if its from the USAFA! :yllol: Anyways, great job! :thumb:
