Hubs ran the MCM with his roommates firstie year. He was in midshipman shape but actually did a wee bit of training to practice longer runs, maybe got up to 13 miles. Roomies did the overnight training program which involved eating spaghetti for dinner and praying. But they all managed to finish with a decent time, some a little worse for wear. Then hubs ran another one in his 40s but trained for months with a whole marathon program. Finished with pretty much the same time or even a smidge longer. Youth is an amazing thing!
