2025 A-Day weekend?

I think part of the point (at least from my angle as new to both the SAs and the military) is that in any given year, the planning and events associated with going to an SA is fairly involved. The current "rules" being issued change regularly and add complexity and cost to any travel.

Depending on a person's temperament, the rules are ignored, observed, or satirized, or a variety of the "above" stated.

Or, as DH says, there are so many coronavirus "miracles" taking place that making any decisions that are binding is not advisable until we are MUCH closer to the event. I call it "riding the wave".

Anyone given any consideration to NY COVID travel restrictions for purposes of R-Day and A-Day? My understanding is that travelers from non-contiguous states have to quarantine for 3 days after arrival in NY even with a negative COVID test.
I went and picked my cadet up from west point in Dec. I had a neg covid test before I left home and was not required any additional information or retesting to return home. That may change who knows what will be the standard by then?

I believe that with covid, Usma is probably going to use a similar structure compared to last year. I believe that all the parents can do are to just drop off their CC’s at the gate, and the bus will take them down the hill. We saw the initial schedule for summer training yesterday in our briefs, and it not 100% certain right now because of Covid, so things might change.

Last year, no. Hopefully, this year.
If it's like last year, a decision may not be made until the date gets near. But, this year they may make decisions further out giving parents more time to adjust plans. Example: decisions regarding some fall events weren't announced until as close as 2 or 3 weeks out, but we've known since January the March Plebe Parents Weekend wouldn't allow visitors. Stay hopeful.
