2026 Applicants

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I was reading through some posts and saw a lot of fellow 2026 applicants. How is everyone doing? I’ve finished all applications for USAFA and Congressional Nominations (including DoDMERB) so now it’s just a waiting game. I’ve been getting a little anxious over the past few weeks, but that’s more from the excitement of waiting for any news than anything else. I’m expecting to hear news any time between February and May, does that sound accurate for anyone who has already gone through the application process in previous years? I don’t really have any serious questions to ask, I just wanted to make a post to interact with some other applicants and forum members. Good luck all, and hopefully we’ll all see each other in Co Springs this summer!
 
Hey!! I'm almost don't with my application. I just had my nomination interview this past week and I take my CFA this Saturday. Not 100% sure about those dates, but from previous years it sounds about right.

You can look at previous thread 'USAFA Appointment List Class of 2025' and see when applicants got appointments last year. I recommend to focus on plan b/c/d while you are waiting. and keep working hard at school and on physical fitness meanwhile.. Good luck with your application!!!
 
I would also advise you guys to have some fun. If I could go back to last year I would worry less about physical fitness and all the stress of college applications and focus more on making awesome memories. This doesn't mean totally slack off and go crazy every day, but be sure you are making time for your friends and doing things that you want to do. Enjoy being a senior and being the top dogs in the school because believe me when I say you will miss getting to decide what you do and when you do it.
 
I went through this with my C3C and now with my other child applying to USAFA. It is so stressful for the whole family.
 
I just need medical approval and a nom at this point. Marked USAFA as my No. 1 SA for nomination purposes so hopefully I interviewed well because I certainly felt like I did. Still have 1/3 of my interviews left so I’ll see what happens then. Medical shouldn’t have any problems. Everything else is good. At this point it’s a waiting game.

How did u get an LOA at USNA without a completed CFA

That’s the way LOAs work many times. The SA likes what they see so far, and they go ahead and send a Letter of Assurance essentially saying “We will make you an offer of appointment, pending satisfactory completion of conditions listed (could be CFA, nomination, DoDMERB, some combination).”
