I have a quick question. Yesterday i received my third nomination. Would having 3 nominations make up for my relatively low SAT scores on my application. (600-610)

It might, but SAT/ACT is still pretty big. The average SAT grade for the USNA class of 2013 was math-620, verbal-640 (I believe, but double check). You aren't that far behind, not even really. If you have the other qualities they look for it will make up for anything that is lower and balance out.

Having three nominations does not "make up" for anything. Your Whole Candidate Score (sometimes referred to as Whole Person Score) is determined by evaluating your SAT/ACT scores, EC's, grades, recommendations.

Having three nominations does, however, give you three slates from which to be selected as the appointee. You are competing in three different groups of ten (or less) nominees for three appointments. Your likelihood of gaining an appointment is the strentgh of your package when compared to those other nominees on those slates. If you are not selected from any of those three slates, you go into the "pool" of candidates not selected from MOC slates.

Good luck!
