3Q Letter

Anyone know if it is normal to not receive a 3Q letter, especially if you receive medical clearance a bit late? I wasn't medically cleared until December 21, and didn't take my CFA until after football season in late November. I'm certainly in the toughest part of the process now... waiting.
 
That most likely means that you are on a competitive slate and will wait until the application window closes. Once it closes, all qualified candidates are evaluated and the highest rank candidate gets an offer. By the way, this is where most candidates are sitting at the moment. The 3Q letter is a good thing.
 
DS didn't do CFA until football was over either; didn't get DoDMERB finished until mid Jan with remedial etc. He did get a 3Q on portal however and a Feb 14 appt. I cannot recall when the 3Q notification came. So don't stress.
 
Thanks for the replies, I actually got a little clarification today. Received an email saying they want me to redo my pull-up video because my feet were cut off in the video, so hopefully that's a good sign that I'm being considered if they want me to redo my pull-ups two months after when I did my CFA.... or maybe I'm turning into a conspiracy theorist... hopefully the former.

Could be good. Could mean nothing. My guess is it's good. Get that video in ASAP! :D
 
What is required for 3Q? And is there a notification when complete? My son is medically qualified, has a nomination, has completed all submissions. Has an interview scheduled in a week and a half ?
 
3Q means
#1 Academic, ECA, Leadership (determined by the admission's board)
#2 Physical by passing the CFA
#3 Medically qualified by DoDMERB

There is no way to 100% determine if you are qualified by the admission's board. Some candidates receive a 3Q letter and others do not.
