I think you and DD are in same boat. 3Q'd this week so just missed out on first wave. Hopefully second wave coming soon so you can both get good news!

All great options. Knew a guy who graduated USAFA several years ago and played on their lax team. He loved his experience and everything about Colorado.

Did you get your BFE by regular mail courier or separate delivery? All three portals updated at this point with your change of status?

Good luck with the decision.

I got the BFE from USMA via USPS Priority Mail, as I believe everyone else has. USNA and USAFA have updated their portals. USMA I believe will update some time next week. Best of Luck!
 
I just found out today I have been given a nomination to West Point and the Air Force academy from my MOC how long before I know if I am 3Q'd or not. I passed the dodmerb and maxed almost everything out on the pft and have a 31 act so I'm pretty sure I am but idk.

Congratulations on the medical waiver for the surgery. That is great from the medical qualification perspective. The academic side is a different piece but "reading into it" from my understanding -from the DODmerb site that explains the process- waiver requests are automatically submitted to the academy if the candidate is considered competitive candidates. So that would be a good sign. Your candidate portal should tell you for sure though where you stand on the academic qualification. See if you have the green check mark there. Good luck!

I received the waiver request about 1-2 weeks after I was deemed disqualified. And no I did not have a nomination
 
Today my mom showed up at softball conditioning halfway through. Since I drive myself, I freaked out, wondering "oh geez, what did I do this time." My mom walked over to the fence and told my coach she needed to speak with me. I walked over to behind the dugout where my mom was standing. What happened next I will never forget. She pulled a BFE out from behind her back and the tears began flowing immediately. I was so honored to not only receive an appointment to USMA (my #1 school) but also for the opportunity to share this moment with my team. This wouldn't have happened without all the great advice I received on this forum. Thank you all & GO ARMY, SINK NAVY
