I know USMA requires 7th semester transcripts but does USNA?
Thanks
Thanks
My son will have very good grades in AP Physics, AP Calc, and Stats for 7th Semester. If USNA does not request them, is it advised to update your application regardless? Is it only upside? He has 2 MOC nominations for USNA, but has not heard anything yet. All else, including DoDMERB, is complete.USNA will contact you if they want them.
DD spoke with her admissions counselor regarding this because she too will have very good grades 7th semester and he said to send because it can only strengthen her WCS with increased GPA/class rank.My son will have very good grades in AP Physics, AP Calc, and Stats for 7th Semester. NOTE: If your High School transcript is forwarded prior to the completion of the first semester of your senior year, it is your responsibility to ensure that your high school forwards an updated transcript to the Naval Academy.
The admissions officer I just spoke to said that "if the Board needs it, they will ask for it, but he highly recommends that a candidate be proactive and send it."
So... I still don't know exactly what to tell DD. She got an unweighted 3.9 with 3 AP classes and a college-level Spanish class but I don't think her gpa or rank changed so should she send it in if she wasn't asked for it? That counselor's statement seems to swing both ways. She doesn't want to bother them but if it shows them some initiative and shows she's still working hard her senior year, then I guess she should?USNA wants 7th semester transcripts?

I would agree if it doesn't hurt then go ahead and send. The only time I would advise my DD to hold off and wait to be asked for it is if there was something that may hurt her. Just my opinionSo...
