First, what SAT Essay is West Point looking for. I took my first SAT and I got a 1520 with a 5/4/5 Essay Score.

Second, It's time to signup for the AP Exams and I'm not sure whether its worth taking the English Exam or not. I'm not interested in pursuing any kind of career with English and I'm not sure the $90 is worth it. I'm already planning on taking the APUSH, AP Chem, and AP AB Calc Exams and I'm wondering if not taking the English would have any affect on my application or chances.

They are looking for you to have taken the essay. If you have a low score (you can search the threads in the Forum) then Admissions may send it to the English dept for review.

Take the AP exams. TAKE THEM. You will take an English class or two in college--having the score behind you is to your benefit. Take every AP exam you can. USMA will never know if you take or do not take the exam, you will be admitted or rejected prior to the AP exams being offered. Also, sharing AP exams is not required. Further, if you do not get into USMA, you can use those AP exam scores to validate courses to lighten your course load or move you more quickly into your major. Taking AP exams is a win-win. Worth the $90.

Hope this helps.
