One of the young men I know from DS's NJROTC unit, and who graduated from his high school in 2019, just came home on leave and stopped by the house this afternoon. He just finished A School for the submarine service. A wonderful young man who had a 1430 SAT score and enlisted after high school. He was #1 in his class at Great Lakes and qualified for great training. He has received college credits for calculus and physics that he took in the Navy during the last year. He works with the sonar dept. investigating and researching contacts and also in the torpedo room. He just got assigned to a Los Angeles Class attack submarine. It is great to see such fine young enlisted men come back to visit us. And, it is great that the Navy can attract and train such quality individuals.
