About time ….

Absolutely hilarious. So, a Sergeant in the Marine Corps, "will get considered for the extra cash only if they “display maturity, financial responsibility, and a history of excellence in the performance and conduct of their duties as determined by their commanding officers" and will have to get a sign off from an installation commander which is usually an O-6 to get BAH. So some snot nosed s*** bird married PFC gets BAH automatically, but a E-5 has to beg for it. Great messaging Marine Corps...you guys continue to say the quiet part out loud. Sad to see that idiots still run the place.

“Performance BAH.” When I read the article through the first time, I thought, “odd, and a little bit sad.”

When I was an instructor at Kessler they practicly begged us to move off base. As a training base they needed the rooms in the baracks. So $80 a month with my roomate got us a nice place with a pool. Old timer who lived there was asked where he lived and he answered I think Boon's Farm from what I see in the dumpster. We never displayed Maturity:cool:

Since when do instructors live in the same dorms as students??? And BTW - its Keesler.

When students are NCOs and Officers training on new or upgraded equipment from commands all over the Air Force, other service branches and lots of allied students. They don't use basic Tech School student baracks for their short term stay they put them in the permanent party quarters. Ergo unmarried permanent party were encouraged to move out. Yes, I know it is Keesler I had a lot of good times there. They run about 28,000 students a year through there.

Ok. I have lived in a Basic Training Barracks, Tech School Barracks, Quonset Hut below zero, a Hooch with a misquito net and a fan clamped to the bunk frame at aroud 90 degrees with Monsoon for night music, Bunk with Issued blankets in the Mountains of SEA, Permanent Party Barracks at Keesler, which I was very greatful to leave. Other than in college I never heard of any of my living accomodations refered to as a Dorm. Hey maybe old school.:)
