I'm a language major and took it plebe year so I'll have a few plebe classes next year. I had prior experience with the language though and if I didn't then I likely would've started yuk year. Everyone has a two-semester language requirement so it helps if you want to be a language major or minor to get started early. Otherwise, if you're not interested in language and just want to get the two semesters done, it doesn't really matter. For context, yuks taking classes with plebes is fairly common. There are a ton of required classes so it doesn't matter too much exactly when you get them done, just as long as you get them done. One thing to consider though is if you're in the situation I was in. If you have college credit or extensive experience in a field of interest/your intended major, taking plebe language might take up space you otherwise could use to knock out a class in your intended major sequence. There's no bad bad choice, just different ones.
