DS just received the invitation for the Academy Experience Program for appointees and their parents. In addition to the email, it is showing up as one of the events in Bear's Den. Can anyone share insight on this? We have visited campus and attended a prior overnight event within the last 6 months however he did not meet with professors.

DS received an invitation and said it just popped up in Bears Den for the April AEP date, so he registered. DS spoke with an Admissions Partner and it sounds like there may be opportunity to request to room with someone in the same major and spend time with the instructors in his major...so that's pretty exciting!

DS was just disappointed that he has to wait until late April. When he saw the original event postings there were two AEP events listed: Feb 13 and March 19. I'm curious if anyone received an invitation/registered for one of these earlier dates?

Yes DS got an invite to all dates and could choose. We are going to the March dates b/c HS is on spring break here that week.

Almost all faculty emails are available through uscga.edu. interested candidates can request to meet with a faculty member directly.

AEP is must go. Please go and enjoy. Your children will enjoy going to classes and learn about their future majors and the perspective from cadets. Also faculty are wonderful. Last minute chance to feel the Academy if the Academy and the Service is where your DS DD want to be. You can also request to spend a day on the job at one of the CG Stations. Now that’s gold.
