Hello! I'm Reanna, a high school senior, and I'm very interested in entering into AROTC in college. I was wondering how selective most colleges are of PT scores. If I get a decent score but not the best, would they not accept me into the program? Are ROTC programs similar to cut sports in acceptance? (AROTC in general, not a AROTC scholarship) If it matters, the schools I'm looking in to are the University of Arizona, the University of Iowa, and Indiana University Bloomington.

Thank you very much.

Hello! And welcome!

Well - AROTC is open for anyone and everyone to enroll in. Just because you don't have a scholarship doesn't mean you can't be in the program. For example, at my Battalion, there's somewhere around 150 freshman cadets ... 28 of us have scholarships. In fact you can do AROTC up until soph. year (not sure if you'd be allowed to enroll without either a scholarship/contract).
