DS received acceptance forms/email yesterday. The email indicates the forms can be scanned and returned to the sender at admissions. The forms indicate they should be mailed. The police check says that the police must return the form. BUT - the email indicates emailing is fine. He sent a follow-up asking if email was ok, but has yet to get an answer. Any input as to what other incoming plebes have done - specifically with police record check, proof of citizenship, and body alteration form? Thanks!

mine snail mailed the forms - except police record she has not completed - hoping once AP exams are over next week she can go downtown during business hours and get that finished.....she mailed an original birth certificate as requested and USNA sent the original back in the envelope she provided

They accepted mine when I emailed them (including the police form), but if you don't get a response probably do both, just to be safe.

Quick question, what did you all submit for your proof of citizenship? If it was your birth certificate, was it just a scan of the original?

I would suggest not to wait too long for the police check. DS contacted our local police and was informed that it would take up to 2 weeks to get the completed form.

Mine snail mailed the original birth certificate with return envelope provided. We got it back within a couple weeks

I emailed the body alteration and citizenship forms. My local police department snail mailed the police record check after they finished it. I just had to email the person who originally sent me the blank forms to confirm they received it.

My DS replied back to the Admissions Officer who sent the email since he stated to scan and send back however the police form stated differently.

This was his response:

You can email us the original of your Birth Certificate, just make sure that any seals or official marking are clearly visible.

Also, we prefer to have the Police Department mail the Record check Form to us. However, it won't count against you if it takes some time to arrive via mail.
