I just received an email from DoDMERB today and logged into my account—it said that I had been disqualified medically and am in need of a waiver. I find this confusing because I have already received a fully qualified offer of appointment in Feb and have since accepted it.
Additionally, the website says that one of the reasons I have been disqualified is due to not taking my ortho contacts out for the required 90 day period, but I hadn't worn my contacts for a year and had let both DoDMERB and my optometrist know. My vision is also correctable to 20/20 and I can easily see without glasses! When a LT from USNA reached out to me asking if I had any questions hindering me from accepting my appointment, I asked about DoDMERB and he told me that I had passed. I hope this means that I can still keep my appointment—how should I proceed?
