Since the appointments have now been given and many decide whether or not to accept them, I thought it was time to start a new thread for questions, tips and concerns that may come up between now and R-Day.

My DS accepted his appointment (EA) and sent it back to the academy certified mail with the requested signatures and paperwork... He didn't hear back that they had received it so he called admissions. they had his info...Now he is awaiting a second packet?

We were at AEP this past weekend - the new packet with all the paperwork will come out some time this week and will also be posted at www.uscga.edu/2021 (just like last years 2020 class) - also so there is not any confusion ... R-Day ... Reporting Day is now called SI or S Day for Swearing In Day - they both be used by many - so just know that they are one in the same and happen June 26th

If you are the parent or legal guardian of an appointee to the Class of 2021, I would highly recommend you join the closed Facebook page for parents. Search Facebook for "USCGA- Parents - Class of 2021" (New rules of SAF do not allow the posting of a direct link).

This closed group's admins are CGA Admission Partners with direct access to Admissions. Questions and concerns can be answered with current and accurate information.

While SAF is a great forum, not all posters provide accurate/current CGA information.

Only about 10 to 20% follow this forum. That is why there is little activity.

I was just appointed with a conditional appointment last week, I sent in the paperwork to make it a full appointment this afternoon. Does anyone know what happens next for me?

I was just on the USCGA class of 2021 Facebook page and it was announced that the packets were just sent out. The future cadets were told to take their time filling out the paperwork so that it is done correctly. Also said that they should get their finger prints done and sent back to USCGA asap.
