Yeah, they used to accept cadets with non-stem majors but the changed I believe four years ago. Its better to have a stem major under your belt, as opposed to others to be competitive.
I don't think the minimum is 3.6 - 1250. That is a little overkill - sounds more like an honors program candidate or weak four year scholarship holder. I know many cadets who barely breached 1100 and have had a four year contract before they matriculated. It all comes down to a case by case basis and all the nuts and bolts of the app process. Then again they dont just give it to anyone so have the highest standardized scores as possible.
