So to get into the Academy, I do know that they take your test scores into consideration.
As of right now ,currently a Junior, I am ranked 2nd in my class (which I actually think I'm tied for 1st) and I'm into a lot of Varsity sports and I'm trying to recruit to the Naval Academy for soccer. I'm involved in a lot of extracurricular activities and community service programs. One thing I am very worried about is my ACT scores. At the beginning of my sophomore year I only got a 23. I was very disappointed. But I am nervous about not being able to get high scores. I was wondering if you guys knew some tips on how I could improve my ACT test taking. Also, should I consider the SAT ?

USNA superscores, taking your best math, verbal, etc...Yes, take the SAT at least once. You may find you score stronger on them-some kids do. There are plenty of test prep courses, programs around but in my own kids experience, they did really well with the test prep books available at bookstores and Amazon. They were really disciplined about taking the practice tests over and over. It definitely helps.

Take the practice tests over and over, again and again.

Not only will you learn the material better, but you will also learn to think through the types of questions.

As with anything in life: practice, practice, practice, practice...
