I was reading the class demographics for the USMMA, and it said that it did not consider test scores for the class of 2025. Are they still requiring test scores?

Per admissions partner training, USMMA admissions is back to expecting test scores to be submitted this year. For this cycle, the last accepted test scores are December (or January is available). The score submissions also drive the DODMERB process initiation.

I'm a cap cadet captain and a student in the top 10% of the class. I take Ap,Honors, and Concurrent classes.

I found that retaking the ACT was really helpful. I scored a 33, but I had bombed my science section, and retaking it allowed me to superscore a 34. Since USMMA allows superscoring, take it as many times as you reasonably can. I know that for math and science, knowing the pacing of the test and how much time you should be taking and planning ahead is very helpful for improving your scores. Good luck!

Found this in a USMMA application instruction but not sure if it is outdated. Would like to see if this is correct..... "SAT/ACT test scores: We do not require an official copy of your scores from the College Board
and/or ACT. A .pdf score report downloaded directly from your SAT or ACT test portal can be
uploaded into your applicant portal or emailed to admissions@usmma.edu."

My DS got in and get gas a 24, 27 in science and 25 in Math. But I think it was his overall effort and work that pushed his admittance. Excel in everything you do and don't do it by halves.

How does a USMMA candidate submit SAT/ACT scores? Does USMMA require an official score to be sent directly from the College Board (SAT) / ACT? Or, sending in a self-downloaded PDF report from SAT or ACT portal is acceptable?

My admission officer told me it needs from SAT/ACT and sent to USMMA or can be downloaded from their respective websites as a PDF document and emailed to admissions@usmma.edu. So for safe, I requested College Board to send my SAT to Academy and I also sent to my admission officer by email in PDF.

In my experience, if you are under a 33 for any SA, you'll need some crazy serious extracurriculars to overcome that, but a Genie in a lamp would be the most helpful.

Thank you!

Do not believe that you cannot receive an appointment with low scores. I know a couple that got in with less than 1200 SAT. But they had great qualities, just not good testers.

@PLC007 and @dakiti~ have made very insightful points, if any future candidates are reading carefully!

Anytime I had to pay for something, i'd remember! DD applied to all 5 SAs. She alternated her 4 free scores between the 5 SAs, but knowing USMMA's policy, she should have sent all 4 free sends to the other 4, and then downloaded the pdfs for USMMA instead of the $$ I had to pay for her to send the scores to the other SAs, and that got really confusing since she had 3 SATs and 2 ACTs.

I’m doing ACT prep now.I got it through prep scholar.I got my ACT scores to a 23 before starting the prep.I took the free school ACT one day before I bought prep.Even with distractions from rude students, this was my personal best ACT score.
