Applying for next year. Should I submit both scores or just one- SAT 1520 vs ACT 34?
Yes turn both in. They will actually super score them together. There are conversion charts on line that will tell you that the 34 and 1520 really correlate to each other, which is good, it shows a consistent skill level. If you had a 1520 and a 28, I would keep the 28 at home. As a side note my DS was right in those scores and got it. I bet you could get a 35 ACT if you retook. Your scores are phenomenal. I would put them on the family Christmas card, refrigerator, sign in the front yard, etc.Applying for next year. Should I submit both scores or just one- SAT 1520 vs ACT 34?
USAFA hasn’t superscored the ACT/SAT in the past. Did that change this year? Only USNA has done that.Yes turn both in. They will actually super score them together. They're the same. Doesn't matter. 1520 shows that you hit the top range of 34. ACT will show your science.Applying for next year. Should I submit both scores or just one- SAT 1520 vs ACT 34?
I was under the impression they were super scoring the ACT and SAT together. I could be wrong, I don’t remember where I saw it. Also, since you seem to have a tad better idea on the ins and outs of USAFA I would trust your knowledge over mine. So, I might be wrong on that one. But really, the yard sign is a good idea. My DS was right around those scores and for goodness sakes I wanted to take out a full page ad in the newspaper to give him the credit, but well, no one reads the paper anymore.USAFA hasn’t superscored the ACT/SAT in the past. Even so, those are amazing scores. I like the yard sign idea! Christmas card seems a little braggy.
Just to be clear for others reading, they do superscore each test (the SAT or ACT), just not between the tests. USNA will convert the scores and superscore them together so if you have a high SAT math and a high ACT English/Reading score, they will combine those. USAFA will just take the highest SAT math with the highest SAT EBRW or combine the highest ACT sections together.I was under the impression they were super scoring the ACT and SAT together. My oldest sent both in thinking that his ACT was higher. However, when he met with a USMA RC, they said they considered his SAT higher. I wonder if it had to do with his math scores. If they don’t superscore, send whichever one has the higher scores for math/science
