My first ACT i took in '07 (fall of junior year) i got a 31 english and 25 math (29 comp) and a 7 on my Writing. I took it again a year later and receieved a 30 english and 27 math (31 comp) but my biggest improvement was a 10 on the writing (roughly the 98th percentile).

I know the standardized tests are only a small poart of the big picture. But what I was wondering was how important the writing score is in the grand scheme of things in relation to the composite scores and math and english.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The Academy essentially only cares about a candidate's math and verbal scores on either the SAT or ACT. Although your writing score is impressive, it won't help your application. The admissions office will not consider your writing score when evaulating your academic qualification.

USNA will evaluate your writing via personal statement. Take good care of that!
