Everything in my application has been completed by say.. around the end of September, early October. This includes everything but the nomination. Both of my SAT scores were also sent, and the best that they recieved were 640 Math and 630 Verbal.

My question is, is 1270 competitive enough that I have a good chance at being accepted? I know the SAT scores are only one part of the whole person evaluation, however I still know that they are definitely taken into account.

The reason I ask is the fact that I have the oportunity to take the ACT's December 11th. This would be my first time ever taking them. Would it be worth it for me to take them? or.. Will taking the ACT's slow down my application process causing them to wait for the scores? Also, is this testing date too late, considering I already completed everything and they may have already viewed my file and made a decision?

Thanks :thumb:

None can tell you if a 1270 is "good enough." There is no answer to your question until one of two events occur. You receive an appointment or the thin letter.

With your scores, my own recommendation re: ACT is definitely take it. No harm can be done. Much good might be.
