I received a phone call a few weeks ago from the regional director of admissions for my area stating that West Point got my Congressman's nominations. He then informed me that I was his overall first choice for USMA (principle nom) and proceeded to tell me that it gave me a good chance of admission. I then got my application completed and was deemed medically qualified. On Feb. 12, 2016 I got the letter from admissions stating they had reviewed my file told me I was "qualified" and to wait on a decision of appointment.
I know the rumor is that the admissions board meets every Tuesday and was wondering if they put principle noms first? I was wondering if I am correct in my understanding that candidates with principle nominations are notified of appointment first. If so, how long might it be?
I know the waiting game is brutal, but any expertise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
