I think the big, final wave the last couple years was the week leading up to April 15th. There are older threads from previous cycles about waiting and results, and that week seems to be when the majority of folks will have heard if not previously. Some will be asked to wait as alternates, and that group may have to wait until mid June.I understand that it is impossible to predict the admissions timeline for a given year. However, based on recent years, when have most decisions come out?
I also want to say that although these forums are VERY helpful, they also give me anxiety. LOLI think the big, final wave the last couple years was the week leading up to April 15th. As many have said in response to these types questions, go for a run or workout and control what you can. Refreshing the portal every 5 minutes wont make the decision come any faster. ( I know... DS didnt gets his decision until mid May)
My friend got rejected at USNA today. Probably a wave of rejections for the people with lower scores on academics.I understand that it is impossible to predict the admissions timeline for a given year. However, based on recent years, when have most decisions come out?
Can I ask if you know how their rejection came?........shown in portal or mail?My friend got rejected at USNA today. Probably a wave of rejections for the people with lower scores on academics.
Where do you find these birdies??? It's killing me not only that my daughter hasn't heard but that I have seen NO Maryland appointments on "the list". I know all of the angst is unproductive but shew!A little birdie told me that my son's app still had not gone in front of the board. The C he got in Chem 1 might hurt him. But if he is on the fence, they might ask for his mid-term Spring semester grades from college.

His status in the portal yesterday showed "Turned Down" and then he received an official email today. I would assume a letter via snail mail is forthcoming. Can I ask if you know how their rejection came?........shown in portal or mail?
Wishing your son all the best. She'll be NROTC as well if the appointment doesn't happen... and then we'll do it all again next year.Doesn't mean that there haven't been any appointments from MD, just that no one here from our state has posted any yet.
I reached out to someone who I spoke with last cycle when my son wasn't able to complete his LOA due to no nomination. Kind of a special circumstance thing. I'm thinking with my son only receiving one nomination source this year (NROTC), that maybe his pile for review is a bit different than someone who has multiple nom sources and more options for shuffling the deck to find their appointment "category" (for lack of a better term). Only 20 appointments are awarded using the ROTC nomination. That is a pretty darn small bucket to pick from, so our expectations for an appointment are pretty low.
The TWEs (rejection letters) are starting to come out now. So if someone hasn't gotten one, then they are still in the mix.
