Advice for ACT and CFA - 2026 hopeful

To add on to what @BuckeyeDad20 said about the pyramid Murph, if you'd like to perform the full Murph once you're done with the pyramid.

1 mile run
100 pull ups
200 push ups
300 air squats
1 mile run

Bonus points for wearing the 20lb vest.

It's a tradition for Crossfitters to perform the Murph on Memorial Day every year. I'm hoping to try it, it's supposed to take at least an hour for first-timers.
I'm sure if you can make it through that you'll be fine for the CFA ;)

Thank you so much! I've also taken the SAT, but my score is only competitive enough for USNA.
If your basing "competitive enough for USNA" on the average scores, you might want to rethink that as it is not even close to correct in many areas/districts. For instance, the average includes fleet appointees, recruited athletes and other groups whose scores that do not score as highly but aren't necessarily in your competition.

Noted. Thank you!

It's a great workout. We are a Crossfitting family and DS did Murph without a vest for the first time on NYE. He will be doing it again (without a vest) on Memorial Day. The training we are doing at our box every Friday has been so great for CFA prep. He PR'd his 1 mile time trial today at lunch during weekly Murph prep. I hope you have fun giving it a try.
